Did you?
This is the second election I voted since I got my citizenship. I didn’t count the first one because it was absentee and I didn’t really understand the meaning of my action. It wasn’t a presidential election either. But I have to say ever since I’ve became a citizen of the United States (October 2001 – right after 9/11 happened) I voted in every presidential election.
Being a woman, I am very grateful that I have the right I have now. I can not imagine not able to vote. It’s like telling me that I can’t be an engineer because it’s a man’s job!
So exercize your right as a citizen of United State of America. It is my previledge to be part of this great country.
I voted!
I can’t imagine telling my grandkids that I (hopefully) voted for the first black president. THAT is history in the making.
It was my first time voting too! I became citizen right before the last presidential election but after the deadline to register so I wasn’t able to. I was so excited this year! 🙂
