Camper! and Some Knitting Progress!

So yesterday, I missed my SnB group 😦 But I missed it to pick up my camper!

2000 Keystone Cabana

I couldn’t believe how nice it is!!! Oh did I forget to tell you that I bought it on eBay without seeing it first? Yeah David and I are crazy like that 😉 But we liked it and paid for it and towed it home! From Pennsylvania! We had a little issue on the hitch but it was resolved while we were down there, but that’s the reason why I didn’t make it to my SnB last night.

So onto some knitting business… Here is the finished Pink Frosting:

Pink Frosting

Pattern – Pink Frosting by Elissa Sugishita in Interweave Crochet Spring 2006
Yarn Called For – 5 Balls Rowan 4-ply Cotton in #120 Pink
Yarn Used – 6 Hanks Classic Elite Wool Bam Boo in #1689 Watermelon
Needles – Addi Turbo size 3 circular
Hook – Susan Bates size 2/C
Gauge – 24 sts and 32 rows = 4″ in St st
Knit – June 26, 2006 to August 27, 2006

I didn’t realize it, but I only really worked on it for two months! And during it, I had put it down for awhile because the crocheting was driving me nuts! I wore it for the first time this past Tuesday but I do have to say it was way to cold to wear just that! Myabe I’ll find a white button down shirt to pair it, see how it looks.

The next finished item(s) are my first pair of socks!!!

Pattern – Thuja by Bobby Ziegler on
Yarn Called For – 3 skeins Artyarns Supermerino #119
Yarn Used – 1/3 hank Minerva Wool and Shetland Wool grey
Needles – Clover size 3 dpn
Gauge – 22 sts and 36 rows = 4″ in St st
Knit – Sometimes in late July or early August 2006 to August 30, 2006

This was a quick knit! I modified it a little to make it a shorter cuff since I usually like ankle socks better. I used the yarn I found from the antique store up at the 1000 islands. The yarn was beautiful and easy to knit with. I can’t find it anywhere anymore because the company went out of the business.

I would it yesterday morning prior to the trip to Pennsylvania and I’m hoping it will turn into this. I think it is a good choice for that pattern. However, it calls for size 8 and I’m using size 10 needles. I might frog it and try the smaller size needle. The only reason I’m using the bigger ones is because I couldn’t even get size 10 to the right gauge, but then again, who cares about gauges when it is a scarf/stole, right?

That’s it for now!!! I’ll post when I make some progress!
